PS4 shipping charges not applying to order and PayPal not working

This is in reference to this site: templeoffashion.com

In my admin area, use Sandbox is NOT checked, but when I attempt to place the order, I get the following error message:

Transaction Not Completed
We're sorry

Debug Information

Disable debug mode in your admin settings before going live in order to hide this content.

Where do I change this?

Also, my shipping charges are not being applied to my orders. Enable shipping is checked and my shipping ranges have been set up in the admin area. What am I missing?

In the debug information, the response back from paypal is:

error: Security header is not valid

The Security header is not valid error message means that the API Details you entered are not correct, they are either Sand box API credentials and you are using the live server, or vice versa.


to turn off debug mode, go to the power store admin settings tab.

For the shipping issue, when adding products, make sure you are entering a weight. Shipping is based on the weight of the cart, so if you do not have a weight for the products, it will not calculate the shipping

Jason, in reference to the shipping, enable shipping is checked in the admin settings and my shipping table is set up. <= 1.00 lb is $6.95 and the weight of all of the products are set to 1.00 weight in pounds. Go to this item, for example, and add it to your cart and pretend to go through checkout. products_detail.php?ProductID=28. Shipping is not added prior to PayPal. Is this the case with PS4 - that shipping will not be calculated until AFTER a PayPal payment?

I have asked my client to look into her PP credentials due to the error message.

using PayPal Express checkout, the work flow of the site is;

* add items to the cart
* choose checkout with PayPal,
* on the paypal site enter the billing and shipping details, paypal returns the user to your site
* The user is returned to the pp_confirm page on your site, where shipping can be calculated. the final order details are displayed for the user including shipping. and the user can confirm the order.

once the order is confirmed, it is processed through the gateway.

Shipping cant be calculated till the pp_confirm page, since the shipping destination is not known till then.

Jason, I'm not using real time shipping. I'm using a lookup table based on weight ranges. Is this still the case?

yes, it is still the case, the shipping rule applies to the shipping country and weight of the cart. Shipping cannot be calculated till he shipping country is known.

Got it. That would be the case, right, because the shipping country is specified as US. If she wants to include other countries, would she need to set up a different rule for each country? Thanks, Jason.

Jason, my client finally got her API Signature and has updated her PS4 info, but I still cannot process an order. Now I'm getting a generic error that says:

Transaction Not Completed
We're sorry

Your PayPal transaction could not be completed. Please return to checkout and try again.

It doesn't tell me anything else. Any ideas? Thank you!
