Empty cart page

Empty cart page

When the shopping cart is emptied for some reason, the page displays in very small type
"the cart is empty"

Can I put a button in that makes it intuitive for the customer to use to redirect to another page? like...
RETURN TO SHOPPING

If so, how would I do this?

May I increase the size of the "the cart is empty" statement. I found the code portion and was able to change the wording, but the size wouldn't change.

in the cart display page, the code that shows the cart is empty message will look like this:

php:
<?php

//WA eCart Show If Middle
}
else     {
?><table><tr><td>The cart is empty</td></tr></table>

    <?php
//WA eCart Show If End
}
?>

you can change the message to show what ever you like. to change the size, you will need to add some styling:

php:
<?php

//WA eCart Show If Middle
}
else     {
?><table><tr><td style="font-size:26px;">RETURN TO SHOPPING</td></tr></table>

    <?php
//WA eCart Show If End
}
?>

Thank you.

Is there a way to add a redirect button for the customer to use so that they have an action they can take (ie. a return to shopping button which takes them to the last page they were viewing or the shopping index page)?

yes you can add a link that will go to a page in your site.

Great!

Except I have no clue how to do this. I'm not a programmer...I'm a shop owner bumbling through this set up.

I assume I would have to edit some PHP code? Or can I find a behavior on the shopping cart page?

Would you provide me more detail on how to accomplish setting up this link?

Thank you for all your help.

add your link text, then highlight it.

In the property inspector, click the folder icon next to link, then select the page you want to link to.

mmmm....

I highlighted the text and went to the property manager (html) and selected the file to link to.

The file name quickly blips into that field and then the link field is blank.
Also, that action highlights a whole section of code.

Seems logical that it should work....don't know what's going on that it's not.

you can manually code the link using:

php:
<a href="pagetolinkto.php">This is a link</a>
