Capturing user info

Capturing user info

If I have many users able to log into restricted pages, and I need to capture which user has inserted new records into a database, how do I ensure that I am capturing the correct user identity for the content they've entered?

I am looking to use a user log table in my DB to post in a username and user ID each time they enter content.

when a user logins in, their ID is stored in a session variable.

to find the name of the session variable, open the login page and double click the authenticate user server behavior. On the Session tab, you can see the names of all session that get set on login.

in the insert record behavior, you can use the ID session to store the ID of the user that performed the insert.
