Cart Description Problems

Cart Description Problems

Greetings. I have an intermittent problem with the Cart Description in Powerstore 4. I have 2 lines of text. The second (and problematic) contains the dimensions of the item. Frequently I will update (or create new) an item and the last part of the dimensions will change after I hit Update. The last example change from • OAL = 2" to •&nbs .

Can you explain why this is and how to fix it? I tried using the inch mark from the symbol library in Powerstore, but that had no positive effect. It had appeared that if I copied the string of text (including the inch mark) from another program, like Excel, it would remain as an inch mark, but occasionally I will go back into items that were fine and the last bit of text will have changed. I ran into a similar problem in the menus, and removed the symbols. Now the menus work fine (although I'd rather they have inch marks), but I really would prefer to have the inch marks in the Cart Description.

The Short and Long Descriptions work fine. I will try a work-around where the dimensions are not in the last line as this is the situation in the Short and Long, but I'd rather keep the Cart Descriptions short and simple.

Thanks,
Chuck

special characters like double quotes should not be used in the cart description, using special characters in the cart description will cause errors with many gateways. You are better of using 7in X12in instead of 7"x 12"
