How to automatically delete...

Hi. well ok not sure if this is out of scope of these forums...but I am wondering lets say I have an "Events" page pulling data from a recordset in date order...once an event if passed currently the the admin would have to delete it manually..what would be the process of having the hosting server delete it automatically by calculating the date?

Chris,

simple solution set up a little script that runs everytime the admin logs in to check whether there are expired events and delete them. If you always direct admins to the same page after logging in just put the script on that page, if you don't then it is a little more tricky unless you have a global include that you can use to check if an admin has logged in.

No worries, I am guilty of over complicating things far to often so I know how you feel.
