is this a bug..Wheres format options disappeared to....

I am including a screenshot - before when I used dataassist, secruity assist insert/update I was able to select how i wanted the data stored (eg. uppercase, capitals etc) but there are no longer options for these (only the encryptions ones as you can see in the screenshot)...is this a bug? I did download and install the latest databridge and design extender. using windows 7 64bit, dreamweaver cs6.

Your welcome, I did noticed it a few days ago but thought it must just be me then when testing more and not seeing it still i figured must be general :)

Just a quick question on this...Do you have a workaround temp solution so I can get those options (perhaps if you have a file I can update). Otherwise is it just a case of handcoding for now?

Sorry, i dont have a temporary solution, for now it is a case of hand coding the formatting.

I have a solution ;)

This is actually a Dreamweaver bug. I'm surprised they haven't fixed it in CS6 even yet, it was introduced in CS5.

When you install an extension the list of available formats is stored in this file:

/Configuration/ServerFormats/PHP_MySQL/Formats.xml

The extension manager is supposed to take all of the default formats and move them to this file and then add any formats included by the extension so that you will have a complete list.

The problem is that the first time the extension manager copies over that file it adds:

title=""

to each of the formats, which removes them from the list.

The solution is to open up the file: /Configuration/ServerFormats/PHP_MySQL/Formats.xml

and do a find and replace to remove any reference to: title=""

Then restart Dreamweaver and the formatting options will be restored. I'll forward this to the Dreamweaver team as a gentle reminder that this is still an issue.

I had this problem with HTML editor, but in my case I couldn't stop it putting HTML codes in the editor. Using this fix it now works OK. Thanks a million for this fix Ray.
