DataAssist Search Wizard Results Page Not Working in IE 6 or 7

I've created a Search/Results page per the example and it works fine in FF (PC/MAC) and Safari on MAC. However it just returns all the rows in IE 6 & 7, I can't seem to find any error such as this reported. I can't determine what I've done incorrectly, it seems browser specific, though. It's using a SESSION that the wizard has set on it's own. Any help on this would be great.

How many fields are in your search form? Are you clicking a button or hitting the return key to submit the form? What trigger are you using?

The problem is somewhere in your answers to those quesitons I bet.

DataAssist Search/Results page error in IE

Same issue, what is the maximum number of search field allowed?

No maximum. The button press trigger doesn't fire sometimes when only one form element is in the search. That was why I asked.
