Digital File Pro will not launch

Digital File Pro will not launch

I recently purchased Digital File Pro for a project that must be completed NOW. I am using it with SecurityAssist, which is working adequately.

My problem is that when I try to Insert either Upload or Download into my page, following the very outdated instructions, I see a window flash up then disappear.

I have previously had the Extension Library Annual Membership and I uninstalled all of the extensions because they had expired.

This time, after installing Digital File Pro I HAVE NOT been prompted to enter my license key to activate the product. I assume this is part of the problem but I do not know how to enter a key when I am never prompted.

When I go to the following folder:

C:\Users\jonm\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\DigitalFilePro

I see a License.dat file and a DigitalFilePro.cfg file that are both 0 KB.

I am using Dreamweaver CS5. When I launch Dreamweaver I get 4 errors, this has been happening since I uninstalled all of the Extension Library Annual Membership extensions. I do not believe these are related but then the errors are below just in case there is a relationship:

"Unable to find file WA_SiteTools_Progress.htm in the Configuration/Floaters directory. The floater will not be shown."

"Unable to find file wa_themeit.htm in the Configuration/Floaters directory. The floater will not be shown."

"Unable to find file WA_xml_editor.htm in the Configuration/Floaters directory. The floater will not be shown."

"Unable to find file WA_SiteTools.htm in the Configuration/Floaters directory. The floater will not be shown."

I have followed the procedure on deleting the .dat file as a basic troubleshooting procedure, this did not fix the problem.

Please know that I have an extremely tight timeframe so I need this to work now.

This is a compatibly issue with Digital File pro and DW CS5, Digital File pro was replaced by CSS Form Builder which contains the upload file functions. Digital File pro is not compatible with DW CS5, you will need form builder instead.

please note that depending on the extensions you have you may have to install some in a specific order, see this thread for details:

Not a Compatibility Issue

This better not be a compatibility issue because it was sold to me by your company with no regard to what version of Dreamweaver I was using. Your own website shows that CS5 meets the requirement for both products, and that is exactly what I am using.

As for install order, I realize this could be the case but I have already installed both products starting with Digital File Pro then ending with Security Assist as has been suggested (I had previously tried the install in the opposite order as well).

It would be fine if CSS Form Builder would work, and I was told by Sales/Customer Support that she would call me back today so that we might try that option. But she also insisted that the two products I have are in fact compatible.

At this point I have tried to contact WebAssist after not hearing back from anyone in what I feel is an excessive period of time. Something is very seriously wrong with this picture.

I apologize, i was mistaken in thinking that Digital File pro was not compatible with DW CS5. I see you have a Support Incident started where Ray contacted you to fix the issue.

Please let us know if you run into any additional problems.

Thank You Jason

Yes, the issue was a bug and probably never noticed because it was in the standalone product. It was resolved temporarily by Ray. So far everything else seems to be working as expected.

I am happy to hear it is working.

More Issues

I just went to test a page that I added Upload to and I am having issues. I suspect the problem is probably related to my other issue, basically Digital File Pro standalone needs to be gone through thoroughly. Here are the entries from the error log in the directory that my page lives on:

[04-May-2012 13:44:45] PHP Warning: require_once(../WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php) [<a href='plugins/function.require-once'>function.require-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/homehea4/public_html/hhcs/index.php on line 2
[04-May-2012 13:44:45] PHP Fatal error: require_once() [<a href='plugins/function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required '../WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php:/usr/share/pear') in /home3/homehea4/public_html/hhcs/index.php on line 2

I checked and there is no file named HelperPHP.php in the WA_DigitalFilePro folder.

I think at this point that I am just going to move over to Super Suite, I went ahead and purchased it because of the offer that was made. I suspect it will work fine in this suite (I hope it will anyway).

In the mean time maybe Digital File Pro either needs to be tested and fixed, or maybe just go away as a standalone product. Of course not my choice but it would seem that I was the only one using it as a standalone.

here is a copy of the WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php file that you can place in your site

Ok I will do that, hopefully I dont run into anything else.

I did upgrade to Super Suite. Is there anything I need to know if I were to remove Digital File Pro and SecurityAssist then Install Super Suite, other than install order? What is the liklihood that I will have issues in doing that in the middle of a project?
