Design settings not updating

Hi
I modified one of the powergallery Designs but the setting changes I made are not going into effect.

My steps:
Choose Design > Slideshow Dissolve > Settings
In the settings window I change the dimensions to 999x260
I save and publish the theme "portfolio"

From the Design screen I select "portfolio" to be my design.
I preview it... It looks good

Next I click "Add to Site" from the main navigation menu at the top.
I copy the PHP code and paste it into my index.php page.
Finally, preview my index.php page in a web browser and the dimensions are wrong (it is the original dimension of the "Slideshow Dissolve" design. I double checked that my newly created design "portfolio" was selected and it is.

I'm missing something. Can you please take a look at my file and advise.
Thanks,
Danielle
