URGENT: DataAssist Ceases to Function Correctly

Hi,
I hope my query is something simple and not a major pain to sort out!

Today, I was amending a site called simply4girls.co.uk (a jewellery party website) by adding some image uploading functionality to the members area when all of a sudden, DataAssist stopped creating the forms correctly.

It has stopped inputting the recordsets correctly as well as not adding insert/update wizards in the DW Server Behaviour panels.

The attached file contains the zip file of the pages in question and screen-grabs of the various Server Behaviour panels showing the recordsets and wizards missing.

It started going wrong after I updated Adobe Reader to v 9.5.1, if that helps...

I'd be really greateful if you can get back to me as soon as possible.

Many thanks,

Martin

adobe reader version shouldn't make any difference

first thing to try is to Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:
common_installation_issues.pdf

I can see the code for the behaviors in the pages, do they run correctly in the browser?

one thing I notice is that your tables and column names use the Underscore, this can sometimes cause issues because of the way dreamweaver treats recordset variables, It is a recommended practice to use the camel case naming convention instead of underscores.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for coming back to me so quickly.

I've deleted the Dreamweaver Cache as instructed and still cannot see the behviours in the panel..

Have created a new table with name and column names to 'camel casing' as you suggest, and sadly no, the behaviours do not run correctly even after making this change. I get this message:
Unknown column 'titleMemPic title_memPic' in 'field list' on this page:

formMemPic_Results.php

Looks like there was a tricky little space in the column title.....(blush)

Sorry to have bothered you....

Hello again....

No, it's not....it's all a bit strange actually...

Because of the way I prefer to work, the DA created pages are prefixed form_xxx.php and then I embed that page in the main page. Hope that makes sense....so...

photo_Results.php has form_MemPic_Results.php embedded into it using another WA plugin.

The photo_Results.php page now returns this error now:

Table 'swags2_data.memPicsMemPic' doesn't exist

The swags2_data bit refers to another website I have for this client where the database is called swags2_data.....but this database is called swags2_s4g and the connections file is absolutely correct...and i can't see where the photo_Results.php page picking up the details for the other database (for the other domain) from.

I've attached the entire 'me' directory which has the form pages as well as the pages they get embedded into.

Thanks again for your help.

Martin
