Alert if image size fails validation

I'm using UE4.01 to allow users to upload their on photos into their own directory. I want to prevent images above a certain Pixel Width being uploaded.
The point of this is to minimise my bandwidth utilisation from users uploading large digital camera photos, as they are likely to be in excess of few MB.
I realise i could ask the host administrator to change the file size upload limit in the php.ini file, but this could be more a more flexible and page friendly solution if existed.

Can this system validate the image dims for Width & Height?
If so, what's my approach please?

Thanks, Paul

it's not possible to know the image width until after it has been uploaded to the server.

Only after the image is uploaded and saved to the server can the server find the dimensions, you wont be able to validate the image before uploading it.

Hmm, i guess my fallback is to set a file size upload limit in php.ini
I assume the error page returned isnt too pretty!

if the file is too large, it will just fail the upload and nothing else will happen.

you can show a custom error by sing the bindings in the WA Uplaoded Files (File Field) binding group.

see the Customizing Error Messages tutorial on the universal email support page for details:
