ECart 5 and remote site

Hi Jason, Had everything working on locally for the cart then uploaded to remote site and ran the cart everthing worked well until I went to confirm page and when I finished I recieved the following error. Is it trying trying to connect locally? I have a cart that works just fine in another website just cannot figure what I did worng. I use godaddy and have my websites under the root I have one dynamic connection "NOBSusing" for the cart that works in on website pointed to my domainnaddress which the databases reside on and it works. I created a new dynamic connection "connImpressions" pointed to my domain and all the connection php information looks correct.

Warning: mysql_pconnect() [function.mysql-pconnect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'

Fatal error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/content/32/7464632/html/impressionscustomapparel/Connections/connImpressions.php on line 25

Just saw this in dynamic connection documentation.
The primary connection is the default connection that will be used for any domain that is not configured under Additional Connections

Should I only have one primary dynamic connection, with connections to my various domains and databases? I saw in the tutorail for Blue Sky that they called the connection primary "connBlueSky" so I assumed I would have different primarys if this is correct I have to use connection "NOBSusing" and add an additional connection and always use this for my additional databases?

If this is correct ----- I have to make a new named cart maybe eCart2 as the NOBS database(one working) is called eCart1 and use that one for my new database. Hope some of this made sense.

the error message means that there is an issue with the mysql connection information.

I am a bit confused by the rest of your problem description:
I have created a support ticket so we can look into this issue further.
