Undefined variable: WAGLOBAL_PCMS_Serial

I have downloaded the PowerCMS 2.11 from the client's shared hosting server to my testing server because the client complained that CMS ate his pages. I think they are in the database, but I am not confident about that. Is all the information in the database or does it also store articles in separate files somewhere?

In any event, in trying to examine things, I am getting the following error message.

"Undefined variable: WAGLOBAL_PCMS_Serial in E:\xampp\htdocs\www.clientsiteXXX\powercms\images\installed.png on line 9

What is this variable and what file am I missing?

Thanks.

the serial would be defined in the wa_settings table of the database, it sounds like you may not have exported that table from the remote host or imported that table into your local testing environment. or perhaps the connection files is not connecting to the local database correctly.

Thanks for the pointer. It turns out his older version of CMS had a couple of fields that were different from the current iteration of wa_settings.
