Javascript error

I have had problems with the extension since I first installed it in CS5.5. I wanted to use it in templates, but it would only work correctly if I manually chose which URL it was supposed to point to.

I decided to try and fix my preferences to see if that would allow me to use it on templates. I am receiving the attached error message when trying to change webasist preferences.

I have deleted the dat file - error still appears. I then removed the extension and deleted the dat file. When I re-installed the extension, the error still appeared.

Please help! I really need this to work in my templates. That is the only reason I purchased it.

More info

Also, this is the kind of error I get when trying to use the share-mail feature in a template (as opposed to a hard link to a specific page):

Just wanted to share this helpful link: ((!empty($_SERVER[

It's obvious that the extension is not pulling in the right URL to reference when it's on a template. As a result, none of the share options work right.

Thanks,
Mary

the error message sounds like you may have conflicting extensions installed. please post a list of the extensions you have installed including version numbers.

for social media to work correctly in a template page, the page must be a dynamic PHP template:
templatename.dwt.php

and the pages created from the template will nee to be php pages:
pagename.php

Thanks!

You've fixed my problem. I had two versions of a project seven extension active, so I de-activated the old one and my problems disappeared. But also - at the same time- the share extension asked for my serial number, so maybe deleting the .dat file finally kicked in? I also tried using the share "current page" feature on page with a php extension, and it worked.

Do you know if there are any disadvantages of renaming pages from .html to .php? Obviously, I'd have to re-direct and change links, but is there any other disadvantage? We are re-designing our site to make it more mobile-friendly, and I don't know if changing the extension has any impact on appearance.

Thanks,
Mary

the only difference in file named .html and a file named .php will be that the .php file can process server side php code.
