alphabetical order, ignore symbols

alphabetical order, ignore symbols

Hi,

I set up my site using DataAssist.
The products looks great and are showing up correctly on the page except for one minor thing. The products are not appearing in alphabetical order.
For example, it appears like this.
'Beta' product
alpha product

We would like it to appear like this
alpha product
'Beta' product

If the product name has a single quote before it, it throws off the alpha order. How do I get the database to alpha-order everything, ignoring the quote? Any advice or direction would be helpful.

Thanks,
Danielle

add an order by clause to the recordset using the replace function to remove the apostrophe, for example:

SELECT * FROM tableName ORDER BY REPLACE("'", "", columnName)
