horizontal image recordset paging?

Hi, I was talking with Ray today on tech support and I mentioned I am looking to create a horizontal paging set of thumbnail images similar to a jAlbum or Flash album, but for a database.
He said it was possible with DataAssist, but I went through the interactive tutorials and cannot see a way of implementing that. He said I had to combine it with DW's regular recordset functions.
I have about 90 images of rings to display but don't want them all to load at the same time and then a click on them will bring up a detail page. I know how to do that, but am looking for a step by step to show how to do the pagination of the thumbnail images.

add a repeating table to the page, add the image inside the repeating table, then add Dreamweaver's recordset paging controls.
