setting shipping base and per item

Can I leave the shipping selection in the admin at custom and set the base and per item amounts in PowerStore 4.5 or do I have to use and option like UPS?

I have currently set the shipping base and per item but the shopping cart and emailed receipt doesn't reflect the shipping amount.

Not sure if this is working or not

that should work.

when adding products, make sure you are setting a weight.

the shipping rate is only applied to items that have a weight set for them. If no weight is set, the shipping will not apply.

shipping still not working

My client while I was out of town added a weight to each of the products but the shipping charges are not showing or being added to checkout totals.

Does the shipping need to be added to each product or just in the shipping settings?

Thanks,

I think you still have to add one entry to the minimum weight charge in the shipping table.

You can do <= 100000 is $0, and then it will add the base and per item only.

Ray,

I have the shipping working now, it looks like both the Base Rate and Per Item Rate must have entered values along with the Max rate and rate below.

I have a question though, is there a shipping rule I can create that says if an item weighs less than a pound then it needs this rate applied for shipping?

Thanks for the help.

Not from here. You could update the product details and check the box to ignore the shipping set up here and use a different rate for that item in the product information outside of the shipping settings.
