ERROR: Missing a temporary folder

I am experiencing the same issue. The Power Gallery was functioning correctly when I last uploaded an image 1-2 months ago. Since then, someone else has been maintaining the gallery. Up until today, all was going well. They went to upload an image and it was too large. Resized the image and then got the following error: ERROR: failed to write to disk
I tested it and received the same error. The second time I tested it, I received this error: ERROR: Missing a temporary folder. This second error is now consistently happening when attempting to upload an image. It happens in all galleries setup on this website.

Please advise on how to correct this issue.
