Shipping Service Options & Tax

Hi Ray,

I have the UPS shipping setup, but it just selects the ground service. If I insert the UPS snippet on the confirm page to allow the choice of ground, 2nd day, overmight - will thisallow the customer the choice of which method they want? Do I need to insert this in a specific location on the page in relation to the code already there?

Also we have a separate delivery charge for local items and we want that to be taxable. How do I get that charge to be included in the taxable total?

You would want to save the value selected in the shipping type list as a sesison variable on the confirm page (just like all of the others).

Then update the UPS server behavior on the confirm page and use the lightning bolt to set the ship type to the session variable value.

In the ecart object you should be able to go to the tax tab and update the tax rule... there is a checkbox to include shipping in tax.
