Menu writer just hangs no menus inserted.

Hi
everything was going well until I changed a menu to include some dynamic links and when included caused issues so I decided to go back to static menus to save time.

Menu writer lets me get through to the stage where it inserts the menu on the page starts the site tools then just says initialising and thats it no menu inserted.

Any ideas?

Like I said it was working fine in fact perfect the whole design extender was great until now.

Tried deleteing cache - uninstaling/reinstalling - restart pc still the same.

I really do not want to remove all extensions (renaming config etc) 80+ extensions installed this would be costly and extremely time consuming. Any other options or solutions would be appreciated.

I just had the same problem. I tried creating a site with Site Sculptor (I really prefer site builder but you guys are trying to force us into this less functional program). One thing I discovered is that you have no input into the menu creation other than choosing a template. After creation I tried to get into the menu to edit but there was no way to enter the menu. I have created sites before can could reenter the menu but not with this. So I deleted the existing menu and tried to recreate one using Menu writer. At that point it just sits there and does not initialize the menu.

Okay I figured it out, I didn't realize that Site Sculptor would default to html instead of php pages even though everything done with this requires php.

the pages created by site sculptor are dependent on your site settings.

In your site definition, make sure that the application modal is set to PHP, then create a new php page and save it to your site, have that page open in dreamweaver when you start the wizard, and it will create php pages.
