How to make a discount to not apply itself to certain items.

I have a coupon code that runs on all items, but now I need to make a few items not be eligible to the discount that the coupon code applies. Does anyone know how I would go about doing this?

I'm using ecart 4.5.2 on a static php site.

Thanks

Do you have a tutorial that can help get me started with this? I'm lost. I've added a column named "Discountable". I set the type to "number" and left unique unchecked. Now what?

edit: never mind, I think I've got it.

no, there is no t a tutorial but all the details are in the linked post. read the rest off the thread i linked to initially.

in the add to cart button behavior, you need to set the value of the discountable column to 1 for items that the discount applies to and 0 for items the discount does not apply to.

you then need to create the discount. set the trigger to number of unique items in the cart > 0. set the calculation to "Based on items with a specific value":

Total of 'TotalPrice' where 'discountable' has a value of '1' 'times' '.15'
