how to get info bubble to show?

I have one destination and have set up form for user to enter starting location for driving directions.
Can i get the info bubble to show before the user enters and submits their starting location?

thanks for your help,

no, the info window cannot be displayed on initial load when directions are enabled.

thanks Jason,

A different problem now;

In checking browsers, everything looks right in IE9, safari, firefox and chrome but when checking the compatibility view in IE the map is gray and can't get the address entry form to work?

change the id of the directions span:
<span class="stylenote" id="directions">

google uses that ID for the directions.
