Error message: The extension package not valid

Hi,

I upgraded to CS5.5

I downloaded some of my extension and tried installing them with the extension manager, but I get the error message: The extension package is not valid. The extension will not be installed".

I searched the forum for this error message, but could not find any matches.

Could someone help please?

Just found the solution. Not with the search function above, which found no matches, but with Google ... and Google pointed to the Webassist Archives. I did not know they were public.

Anyway ... all five downloads were corrupted. I just downloaded a small file again, and it installed without any problems. I think, downloading the files all at the same time caused them to be corrupted.

also, when downloading the extensions, the browser may give you the option to save it or open it, make sure to select the option to save it to your computer, o not open the MXP file until it has been downloaded and saved to your computer.

Yes, I saved them. This morning I installed 9 more extensions without problems. It is our internet connection (satellite high speed) that makes problems all the time.
