Another checkbox issue

I have another little issue with the checkbox on insert, or mabie I just need a better way to do it any way i have a checkbox set to not null in database, checked value 1, but that is'nt the common, most of time will be unchecked. Since checkbox unchecked sends back nothing, I have problem, need it to be 0, which I set as defualt value in mysql, but it gets overridden to null when gets sent. Is there a trick to this....

Thanks,
Tracy.

In the insert record behavior, set the data type for the column to use "Checkbox 1,0"
