Static List Malfunction

Static List Malfunction

I created a registration form with drop down menus using Security Assist. I need to edit the form with CSS Form Builder version 2.0.1. I need to add “Please Make Selection” to the menu using the “Static List.” I am also pulling a dynamic list of States from my database. StatesID is my primary key. States is my value field. Everything looks fine until I upload to the server. When I open the file the last item on my list of states (Wyoming) appears at the top of the menu. The “Please Make Selection” statement created using the static list feature appears at the end of the menu. What can I do to get the static entry “Please Make Selection” appear at the top of the dropdown list?

You should not be editing Security Assist forms with form builder. The form builder wizard will remove some extra functionality that Security Assist depends on. If you want to make changes you should be doing that with dreamweaver directly.

You would use the dreamweaver properties window to update the list values. You could add the please select a state value at the top and then specify the rest of the fields from a recordset you create. The recordset order would be controlled by an ORDER BY clause in your recordset SQL statement.
