Why is it updating transaction details instead of inserting them???

Thread began 1/11/2012 3:42 pm by sonomahorowitz424857 | Last modified 1/11/2012 4:08 pm by sonomahorowitz424857 | 497 views | 2 replies |

Why is it updating transaction details instead of inserting them???

Hello All,
I need some help!
I used the checkout wizard on eCart (Dreamweaver CS5) and everything is working great except for one problem...
Every time the transaction completes and eCart stores the transaction details into the database tables; It INSERT's the first transaction like it's supposed to, but, when i process a second transaction, it is UPDATE-ing the first record instead of making a second one.
Any suggestions?

this is happening because all of your transactions are being placed using the same browsing session. to prevent this, add the following code to the checkout success page after the closing </html> tag:

// Initialize the session.
// If you are using session_name("something"), don't forget it now!

// Unset all of the session variables.
$_SESSION = array();

// If it's desired to kill the session, also delete the session cookie.
// Note: This will destroy the session, and not just the session data!
if (ini_get("session.use_cookies")) {
$params session_get_cookie_params();
setcookie(session_name(), ''time() - 42000,
$params["path"], $params["domain"],
$params["secure"], $params["httponly"]

// Finally, destroy the session.
