modifying main navigation

Hi,

I want to modify the label names of the main navigation.
I can see how I can add new pages and those pages end up in the subnavigation.
But I'm unclear on how to add to the Main navigation and/or edit the those main nav labels (Home, Products, Support and Contact us)

Thanks for your help,
Danielle

the main navigation is created by the webassist/plugins/main_menu.php page.

you can change the labels by editing this file directly.

you can also copy one of the existing navigation LI elements and past it to create a new one.

I want my main navigation to include Product Categories (Apples, Candies, Gifts, etc.)
For example: On the Main Nav, instead of having a button that says Products, I want a button that says Apples. After clicking on Apples, visitors need to go directly to the Products page that only displays the apples.
Can you advise or give an example on how to edit links in the main_menu.php file to reflect this type of change?

Thanks for the advice,
Danielle

the power store menu already does this.

Under the products menu, there is a search, the show all link, then it will show all of your categories.
