Returning from ecart to same position

Returning from ecart to same position

Is it possible when using the "continue shopping" button in the cart to return to exactly the same postion in the shop page where the "add to cart" button was used. Currently the return is to the top of the page.

Done a lot of "googling" on this and cant find a simple solution, any suggestions?

when the add to cart button is pressed, a session variable is set with the name of the page that contains the add to cart button. this session is used by the continue shopping button to return back to the page.

it can only pass the name of the page, not the location on the page where the add to cart button was pressed.
