PowerGallery Says No Images Added

PowerGallery Says No Images Added

I have named a Gallery and uploaded 3 photos to the gallery with no problems. However when I go to Manage Images, it says my gallery has no images. Under Choose Gallery, it shows 3 images. Additionally, there is nothing to click on the Choose Gallery page that says "Edit This Gallery."

One more thing, when I go to Choose Design and click Preview, I get a 500 Server Error.

Help would be appreciated.

Make sure that the permissions on the webassist folder and all files and folders under it are set to 755. I recommend using a dedicated FTP program like filezilla to change file permissions.

Then, in the webassist/caching/PG_CachedResize_Image.php file needs to be updated to
change line 14:

php:
$retVal = is_dir($pathname) || @mkdir($pathname, 0777);

to:

php:
$retVal = is_dir($pathname) || @mkdir($pathname, 0755);

and line 360:
[php]mkdir ($cachefolder,0777,true);[php]

to:
[php]mkdir ($cachefolder,0755,true);/php]

And the admin_gallery/common/properties.php file needs to be edited to
change:

php:
$GLOBALS['permissions'] = array(

'dir' => 0777,
'file' => 0666
);

To:

php:
$GLOBALS['permissions'] = array(

'dir' => 0755,
'file' => 0755
);

Thank you. You are talking to a newbie in this .php stuff. How do I access these files through filezilla to change file permissions? If you can state step by step, that would be appreciated.

File Zilla is an ftp program. your host will be able to provide you with the FTP Host Address, username and password to connect to your site, use that information in File Zilla to connect to your site.

Once connected, browse to the Power Gallery Files, Right Click on the webassist folder and select the Set Permissions option. Set the permisions level to 755 and select the option to recurse through all files and folders.
