ideas

Hello everyone! I just purchased a great set of extensions I'm sure, and even if not the the support is the best iv'e seen yet,I've been combing the forums for a month and trying to learn all I can, anyway I just took on a database project for a local art center and the shopping cart is actually gonna be pretty simple, one product catagory for memberships with a couple different pricings, one catagory for classes with different pricings, but it's the last one I'm concerned about, I need to make one for donations, I have read the tutorial on it, my question is is there a way I can just add this on the regular product table and have the price on it updatable on it's own, or would I need to have it in it's own table, and if that was the case would I have to have 2 carts(is that even possible) or would the one cart work for both?
I come from an asp and ADDT background and am now moving to learn and convert to php
Any ideas are appreasiated!

After a bit more reasearch...

I can see now that I went through the tutorial agian for the donation, that it is a static product and should have nothing to do with the product table, so i think that answered my own question. And as long as the structor is the same is should insert into orders along with other products. It' s amazing what we get after going through somthing more than once, I'm just sorry I was so slow at the first pass!
Any who thanks for such a great product and I'm sure I'll be back when I need to collect my thoughts on a more serious matter
Thanks!

yes, the donation is a static product, not a dynamic product.

just make sure to give the donation an ID number in the add to cart button that will not be used by any of the products in the products table.
