File formats

I have set up a form that a client can upload files to an emailed form, however if an .ai or .eps file is attached I can only open it in text edit and then resave it as XXXX.ai or xxxx.eps then it opens - In the set up I have not checked the web file check box as advised.

How can I get the file to arrive in its correct format ?

i dont quite follow. what is the format the file is arriving in now? Sending it as an attachment should not effect the file extension.

what email client are you using, have you tried in another email client?

Sorry I wasn't real clear.

If for example a client attaches a pdf I can download it and it will open in acrobat. But if a client uploads an ai (illustrator) psd (photoshop) or eps for example it appears in the folder with the correct extension but will only open in text edit as binary - then I have to save it as whatever format it is supposed to be before it will open in the correct program.

My email client is mail

Have sorted this one. In the fix you suggested for my other post (topic downloads) it also sorted out this issue - again many thanks Jason.
