Password Protected Menu Item (User Registration not wanted)

Password Protected Menu Item (User Registration not wanted)

Hello,

I just want to have a menu item where all pages in that group are password protected. But I don't want a username login. If someone clicks on the menu item, an "Enter Password" box will appear and if they know the password, they get into the protected pages, otherwise, it says password incorrect. I also need the ability to just go in and set the password to anything I would like at any time. I have a set user group in a forum that I would like to give access to this area, so I will post the password in the protected forum (in which they have to have access to).

you can use security assist to create only the login and logout pages , then apply the security assist login access rule to those pages that are in the menu that should be protected.

you will need to create the user record manually in the database by editing the database directly to insert the user name and password for login.
