PG v2 Confict with Jquery

Hi,

Seems like this should have been fixed with version 2, but the PG v2 breaks all of the jquery on the page. I searched the forum and found a post that stated this was fixed in v2.

Please let me know what I need to do to get this to work on pages with Jquery.I need this done quickly, but really don't want to open a paid ticket for something that should work out of the box.

Thanks,

Tony

Hi,

I am having a similar problem.
I have a jQuery/css based vertical slide menu, and haveing PowerGallery seems somehow to force all the menu "kept unfolded", where only opened category area menu should be unfolded.
(See: shop_160_covers.php )

I tested with jQuery LightBox (similar effect with PowerGallery, but much simpler) to see if that triggers the same symptom, but it didn't.
(See: shop_054_adptv_test2.php)

I'd like to stick with PowerGallery, as it is easy to use, and it gives me sliding effect that I can not hand-code.
Could you take a look and advice me what to do to keep the menu folded?

Thank you for your help in advance.
Rika

it's probably a conflict with the version of jquery being used.

in the /powergallery/galleries/ribbon_lightbox_swift/index.php file, remove the following line:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4/jquery.min.js"></script>

Hi Jason,

Thank you for your reply, I did what you suggested.
The menu is back to what it's supposed to look like, but this time the gallery's effect is gone.
When I click images, it just jumps to another page with a image.

What would be the next move?

Hi Jason,

This is just to let other people know just in case.

1. I deleted the code from index.php as you suggested.

2. On my php file that I have a powergallery and other jQuery stuff applied, I switched the jQuery library code to the one I deleted from index.php, from the one I had before.

And everything is working perfectly.

I guess other jQuery stuff I had could work with by PowerGallery's jQuery version, so this worked out.

Thank you again for your help, finding out the root problem was the jQuery's version difference was a big hint for me.

Rika ;-)
