Error can not create new or edit

when I try to insert new or click on script to edit existing menu, I get error message:

"Error: Please define a site, open a page, and select the location where you want the menu to appear on the page, and re-open CSS menu writer."

I click ok and error goes away but I am still left with problem.

I just reloaded the extension and now I have this problem I didn't have before. Please advise.
