WA Search by Category Error

Using DataAssist I created the public product files. I've included a search functionality for category name (menu from category table) and by keyword on product name. I have repeated this three times and get the same error. Yet on the admin side I do not get this error.

The error is that the search by category drop-down does not use the static default (Select a Category) and defaults to one category called Leafy Greens.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Attached is the working files.

A second error, which I believe is related to the above, involves the shopping cart errors. Posted in eCart forum. showthread.php?p=115250#post115250

in design view, select the select list.

In the property inspector, click the dynamic button

In the Select Item Equal to section, clear all code, so the box is empty.
