Short Descriptions for products longer?

I am adding code for a media player on the product description page and the it cuts off because of the amount of characters it allows. Can you tell me where I can edit this so that I can use more characters?

i screwed up and tried to do this and now I have this error. Its on the description update page. HELP!

on the udate page there are 2 require once lines to include the security_assist helper_php.php page, remove one of them


why not add the media player to the long description instead of the short description?

but my client would like it on the search results page also. Is there any way to change the field so I can have more characters? (after I get the page thing resolved of course)

the length of the short description is set in the database.

you will need to edit the database to change the number of characters that can be stored in the short description field.
