php 5.3 upgrade - does this affect anything?

hi there

I'd like to upgrade my server from php 5.1.6 to 5.3

I'm running the following extensions, can you tell me if any code used will be affected please:

CSS Menu Writer 2.0.6
DataAssist 2.0.8
eCart 5.0.3
HTML Editor 3.0.2
SecurityAssist 2.0.4
SiteAssist 3.2.3
Universal Email 4.0.1

Thanks very much

As long as you are using the same PHP version, you should be OK.

We have not yet encountered an issue with PHP 5.3 and we have been testing with it for a while now.

hi Dani

Thanks for your help - are you testing with 5.3.0 or 5.3.8 ?

hi Dani

My server can only be upgraded to 5.3.8 - do you forsee any issues with this ?... or do you know of others using 5.3.8 without any issues ?

5.3.8 should be fine.

most of the changes listed in the change log on the php site are bug fixes, and small feature enhancements, i don't see any deprecated functions listed or major changes that should effect anything.
