ECart error - urgent!!

Thread began 11/14/2011 9:19 am by russell298997 | Last modified 11/14/2011 12:55 pm by Jason Byrnes | 1013 views | 3 replies |

ECart error - urgent!!

Desperately trying to figure why I am getting the following cart error message when trying to view the clubshop/productdetail.asp page (which users have to log into).

I had user claim that the cart had added £23 shipping (which is not a value in the shipping fields) and I went thru to check the shipping values. Then I got this error when I tried to add to cart or view product detail page

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0009'

Subscript out of range: '[number: 10]'

/WA_eCart/ysl_VB.asp, line 14

after opening a new session i tried again abd got

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01c2'

Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment: 'ysl_AddToCart'

/clubshop/productdetail.asp, line 204

I have attached what i think are all relevant pages - any ideas as to what is creating this error ? Am desperate to get this back running today anyone cpould take a quick look/.....thanks

Looks like you have 2 ID columns in the cart definition:
ID - this one is automatically createed for the cart object
itemID - this one would have been added.

these 2 ID columns are clashing with each other. in the add to cart button behavior on the detail page, you are not giving the itemID column a value.

i would remove the itemID column from the eCart object, then edit the add to cart button behavior to double check the column bindings.

done that.....

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the prompt reply as usual - done that and there is no mention of ItemID in the bindings in Add To Cart function.

Now i get

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'cDbl'

/WA_eCart/ysl_VB.asp, line 15

line 15 is

retVal.ID = cDbl(itemID)

By removing this line, the cart appears (at first test) to work fine - should that be ok to remove that line?
