eCart And Setting Up Email Receipts

I am using eCart Version 5.0.3 and CSS Form Builder 2.0.1 but when I follow the Checkout Wizard in eCart it does not give me the option to set up the email receipt as described in the user guide. Also when creating an email I do not get the full drop down menu list an button as shown in you customising Email Receipts guide. I am not sure if the problem is with eCart or Universal Email. Any help would be appreciated.

What payment gateway system are you selecting?

The option to set up email receipts will only be available if you are selecting to use a Local Checkout option like PayPal payments Pro. using one of the remote cehckout options, the email receipt is handled by the gateway. this is because the remote checkout options do not process transactions in real time.

eCart And Setting Up Email Receipts

I am using the PayPal Standard, if I can't do that how can you get round it as I need to be able to send out an email receipt. This leads me on to my second problem that is creating and email to send the receipt that way, my problem here is I do not get the options to edit in dreamweaver as you see in the tutorials, I have no options other than to set up a template mail that is not editable. Sorry, two issues in one but the reasons for linking them is that the tutorial.

Sorry this seems to have turned into two problems.

Thanks for your help so far.

the problem with paypal standard is that it is not a real time payment gateway.

with paypal standard you need to set up an IPN Page that will receive the results of the paypal transaction when they process it on their end.

on the IPN Page you can configure it to send the email receipt.

see the paypal documetation for IPN:
ipn

Uncheck the Create a file for this email option, and you will have the DW Edit icon to use fro setting the mail body.

a search of this forum for IPN Will give a lot of additional info as well.
