Insert New Record for each new line in textbox

Looking for information on how to have a list of items in a text area box like

option1
option2
option3
option4

And then once i click "insert" it will make 4 separate rows in the database.

How would i accomplish this with dataassist?

this is not possible to do with one text area.

create 4 text boxes, and use the Data Assist Insert Multple behavior to insert a record for each one.

more than 4

Well i need to put in like 45 to 100 lines or records, not just 4, that was for an example only.

So is there a way to do it in one text box via javascript and an array?

this would take hand coding to accomplish and is not supported by our extensions.

you would need to hand code logic to create an SQL insert statement each time it found a return in the text box POST.

If you need assistance with this, we could probably help you in a premiere support ticket.
