How to prevent form submission without option chosen

How to prevent form submission without option chosen

It seems the options display with the first one as the DEFAULT options.
e.g.
If customer adds to cart without PURPOSELY choosing the SIZE they want, the first one listed "Sm" will be the size the customer gets.

Is there a way with PowerStore to prevent this from happening?
Maybe have the first choice in the drop-down simply be (instructions to choose a size).

Then, if they click "add to cart" without first choosing the size they really want, they will be gently reminded.

Possible?
How can we prevent form submission without a conscious option chosen?

No Power Store 4 does not offer this option.
