File download limitations in IE?

Hello,
I have a client reporting problems with Internet Explorer when downloading an 8 meg file initiated via File Download. Is there issues with some browsers and is the download process fully handed off to the browser or is there some tie to values in the php file management operations?

Should we be monitoring the download process via php to restart if there is a break in the stream or is this beyond the capabilities of php and this extension?

Regards,

Steve

could be the server timing out.

add the following code at line 1 to prevent the server from timing out:

php:
<?php set_time_limit(0); ?>

Thanks for the suggestion Jason.

Turns out the download was an .exe and after changing to a .zip IE allowed the download without problems...
