Check Username

How do I replace the Dreamweaver server behaviour called 'check new username' in Web Assist or in other words, what Web Assist tools or function does this check to prevent the entering/inserting of say duplicate e-mail addresses into a mysql database?

you can do this with a recordset and the numeric validation type in the Server Validations server behavior.

Recordset

The field I want to check for duplicates is emails. I successfully did this a while back - See attached 'Server behaviours 1 .PNG' where the recordset appears at the start. However when I now create a similiar recordset, the recordset appears below WA Server Validations - why is this see 'Server behaviours 2 .PNG'?

code order, you will need to move the code for the recordset so that it is above the server validation code.

Red exclamation mark beside insert record

Okay, I've cut the code and pasted it above validitions and it has moved the recordset(rsEmail) to the top. Now I have a red exclamation beside insert records. In addition I have double-clicked on the WA Server Validation - selected number as validation type and selected the rsEmail recordset as my server variable. I expected to find $totalRows_rsEmail, but all I get is $rows_rsEmail - the word total is missing. I have set the min number to -1 and max to 0. Am I making sense to you?

$totalRows_rsEmail wont be an available binding, you need to enter that manually

for the server variable enter:
$totalRows_rsEmail

I've enter the 'server behaviour' manually via WA Server Validations. How do I deal with the red exclamation beside insert records in the Server Behaviour tab?

Building a Registration system with Form Builder

I'm getting nowhere with this form builder. I've created a form with form builder. I've used WA insert single record to populate the database on submit. I've encrypted the password via WA server validations. Everthing works upto this point and the database can be populated with an encrypted password. However, its when I attempt to prevent duplicate enteries (email is the field I don't want to have any duplicates of in the database). I've created a recordset called rsEmail - I've added the $totalRows_rsEmail manually in the WA Server behaviour dialogue setting the various entries to 'number', -1 and 0. When I do this the form on submit will not populate the database - why? Is it something to do with CSS Form Builder?
