Drop down Menu

Thread began 10/12/2011 5:59 am by john70964 | Last modified 11/14/2011 5:09 am by john70964 | 1418 views | 7 replies |

Drop down Menu

I have created a menu in PS4.5
The first drop down is fine but when I try to point to an item in the sub menu the menu disappears.

There is a space between the two panels and the menu disappears when the curser goes over the space.

Any ideas please?

Thanks
John

What browser are you using? Does this happen in all browsers?

post a link where i can see the problem in order to troubleshoot.

Thanks Jason
I am mainly using Chrome but have tried in IE8 and FF with the same result.

I only have this on my local host at the moment.

Without being able to see it, I cannot tell you what is wrong, I would look into the left attribute for the second level menu items, make sure it is the same as the width for the first level items, but all i can do is guess.

in the menu css.

I cant really give any more specific directions than that without seeing the page in the browser.

Thanks Jason
Would it be possible to have a remote session look?
Would it help to send the page source?

The menu.css for \webassist\plugins\main_menu\menu.css is:

/* This enables only the most basic drop down styles.
This allows the menu to function while letting the theme do the styling work. */
#cssmw {
}
#cssmw li {
float: left;
overflow: hidden;
}
#cssmw li ul {
display: none;
z-index: 2000;
}
#cssmw li:hover > ul {
display: block;
position: absolute;
}
#cssmw li:hover > ul li {
clear: left;
}
Regards

John

This menu spacing problem disappeared when I placed the site on a remote server.
