Chekout Not Working

After getting 404 errors on checkout I created an SSL folder within the htdocs to place the store into. It uses a different url now. The store seems to dance between the two addresses now and on checkout I get a message from Safari "TOO MANY REDIRECTS".
I'm trying to find where the initial info is stored when I first ran the install wizard that may have the website info (may be cause of redirects?)

Do you have any advice? Store is already built for the most part and I can't see re-doing the whole thing.

Thanks

Need to add drop down options to items

I have a few items in a store that need options (a few different sizes offered). How besides making new items altogether could I achieve this.

A model of a baseball bat offered in 3 different lengths. I'd like customers to be able to just specify which options they want.
