Transferring license to customer

Transferring license to customer

Having created a site for a customer, the customer wants to know how I transfer the software license to him?

No-one has ever asked this before. Does anyone know the answer? Or is it just that I cannot use it again for a new domain name?

(I have one version on my testing site, and he will have one version on his domain name when it goes live.)

Regards, Nicola

I am assuming that powerstore license's are the same as all the other WA product licenses.
That being said...you are correct that you just can't use it again on another server.
The license is now "owned/registered" to whatever domain it was installed to.

License transfer

So, effectively in legal terms, the act of moving the site from my test site to his live domain automatically transfers ownership of the license? Many thanks, Nick

The Power Store license is not transferable, you as the purchaser own the license. but you are letting your client use it.

When the license is activated, it is activated for your clients domain, and cannot be activated for another.
