Custom Functions and Recordsets

Hello:

Background:
I am using Dreamweaver CS4 and eCart 4. I have written my own functions that connect to my database (db), SELECT db items/information, and repeat regions using while loops. That is to say I don't use Dreamweaver to create any php/mysql calls.

Issue:
I am unable to use the dynamic binding (lighting bolt button) option when placing an ADD TO CART button.

Question:
Must I use Dreamweaver's Server Behaviors and Bindings to write my recordsets, connection, and repeat regions in order to use the dynamic options within ecart?

Attempted Solutions:
I tried to use a static ADD TO CART button and then added my variables to the binding option in the code that the ADD TO CART button created at the top of my page.

Thank you,
Jon

Yes, eCart will not recognize hand coded recordsets. Dreamweaver will not create dynamic bindings for code that you create yourself.
