"Orders" not showing in db

"Orders" not showing in db

I am having similar issues with my "Orders" not showing in the database as the thread below. I am using PayPal Standard and I have done a couple of trial purchases and am receiving PayPal confirmations of them through email.

showthread.php?t=22328&highlight=orders

The following portion of the above thread may resolve this issue, but can you provide more information and/or direction on this. When I set-up eCart, I placed all the appropriate PayPal info that was requested. I found the PayPal's instructions for setting up a IPN account, but am not sure of what the correct "Notification URL" I should use? Does anything additional need to be done with the website code?

"I believe the issue is that you don't have IPN enabled in your PayPal settings.
You notice that under the Payment Gateway setting for PayPal standard there is a URL which is a URL to the IPN page. Have you already enabled IPN using the Provided URL?"

Additional info:
In the db, if I use the user profile page to populate the address, phone, etc., the fields get populated on the users table. However, when I go through a purchase transaction and provide the billing address/phone and the shipping address/phone, it does not populate the address fields in the users table or the orders table. At this moment, if I go through a purchase transaction with a required login (Registration info is: First Name, Last Name, Email, Password), the only fields that are populated on my orders table are: OrderID, OrderUserID, OrderShipping, OrderTax, and OrderDate. On the orderDetails table the populated fields are: DetailsID, DetailsOrderID, DetailQuantity, and DetailPrice. All other fields read NULL.

I don't know what I did wrong now:(

Thank you!

Problems with order history in eCart 6

I am having problems getting the full name and email address to show in the Order History page. It shows the order number the order date and amount, but not the name or email address.
The order detail pages shows all the correct details.
Can you help with this.?
I have attached my confirm_cart page so you can see how I have the sessions etc set.
Thank you.

The store cart summary and store cart details server behaviors are supposed to be applied on the confirm.php page and not the confirm_cart.php page. Did you add those manually?

The confirm_cart page is submitted to several times during the checkout process to update shipping costs and allow the user to confirm the address and potentially update it.

I'd run the wizard again in another folder if you don't want to lose any changes you made and then use the same syntax from the wizard created pages to update yours.

Hi Ray,
Yes I added them manually, maily brcause eCart 6 , unlike eCart 5, doesn't add the "summary in database" and details in database" behaviours, so I copied them over from the old site. (I am updating the cart to the latest to use the ajax functions.
I know I can add the behaviours from the server behaviours drop down, but i can't find the details to be able to fill them in, mainly for the summary.
But I will try your suggestion, (especially as I used the wrong page) and see what happens.

Hi Ray,
I followed your suggestions above and added the cart summary and store cart details server behaviors to the confirm page, and it works well, with just one problem. In the orderdetails table the DetailID is doubling up. What I mean by this is that when you enter the first order (after truncating the tables) the DetailID = 2, then when you add the next order the DetailID = 4 and so on.
The orders table is fine with no problems and are numbering correctly.
Any ideas.?
I have attached the confirm page for you to view.

Add a form with a "submit order" button on the confirm page and use that as the trigger for the store cart summary and store cart details in database server behaviors.

OK Ray,
Firstly let me say I am using eCart6.1.1 the latest version available.
Taking on your suggestion I re-ran the wizard using it's default settings (no formatting what-so-ever), and found the following problems.
1. Even though I ticked the box "include shipping fields on checkout page", they still didn't show.
2. If you click on "Change Address" in the Order summary, the summary dissapears but the form still carries on and submits to PayPay, so it doesn't work.
3. The wizard creates the "summary in database" and details in database" behaviours in the pp_confirm page, not in the confirm page as you suggest ("The store cart summary and store cart details server behaviors are supposed to be applied on the confirm.php page" So they don't work.
I have attached a zip file of the pages created for you to have a look at.
Your suggestions to make this work as it should would be accepted gratefully.

Store Cart Summary in database and store cart details in database are added to both the confirm.php and pp_confirm.php page (the pp_confirm.php page is only used for express checkout and will the the only one if you are only using express checkout).

It should have added shipping fields if you checked that box. That I can't explain, because I haven't seen it happen before, but I'd be happy to run the wizard with you in a screen sharing session if you can reproduce it for me and I'll look into it. (just add a US phone number or Skype contact information in the private area of a response and I'll schedule a screen sharing session with you)

I'm guessing that the change address failure has something to do with the missing fields and a javascript error occurring, so I can look into that with you in the screen sharing session as well.
