Connection Issue with GoDaddy Hosting

I have successfully installed PowerCMS on numerous sites hosted with our reseller account which is NOT Go Daddy. I have a new customer with Go Daddy hosting and I cannot seem to connect to the database correctly with dreamweaver.

When I tried to connect to the database in dreamweaver I get this error. “Your PHP server doesn’t have the MySQL module loaded or you can’t use the mysql_(p)connect functions.” The database and DSN are installed on the server and I can admininster the database using PHP My Admin.

This is the help information I found on the Go Daddy site: The following is a list of database connection strings to use with various MySQL data providers. Cut and paste the connection string to use within your application. For connection strings that require a password, update the password field to the designated password for the database.

ODBC 3.51:
DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver}; SERVER=mainconnection.db.2191195.hostedresource.com; PORT=3306; DATABASE=mainconnection; USER=mainconnection; PASSWORD='your password'; OPTION=0;

OLE DB, OleDbConnection (.NET):
Provider=MySQLProv; Data Source=mainconnection.db.2191195.hostedresource.com; Initial Catalog=mainconnection; User ID=mainconnection; Password='your password';

Connector/Net 1.0 (.NET):
Server=mainconnection.db.2191195.hostedresource.com; Port=3306; Database=mainconnection; Uid=mainconnection; Pwd='your password';

I have attached my connection file. Thank You!

By Default the GoDaddy MySQL Servers will not allow access by an outside computer. You will need to configure your account on the GoDaddy servers to allow remote access to the MySQL server

contact GoDaddy support for help with this.

GoDaddy Hosting allow access to database

Thank You! I had to call them, they actually do have a support issue for this in their forum which shows if that some accounts have an option to set up access to the the database however my account did not therefore they had to change the account and ip address and it will take 2 hours to 3 days. (Just in case anyone else has GoDaddy hosting, you will want to set up your database ASAP and make sure you get your connection in dreamweaver)

Connection OK, Permissions not.

I successfully connected to the database and in the install wizard I get the error "Files and directories cannot be created. Verify the PowerCMS directory has write permissions on your server. " I allowed read/write permissions to nearly every folder on the server. What is this telling me?
