2 or 3 sub-categories levels deep

Thread began 9/21/2011 7:38 pm by ericay278516 | Last modified 10/11/2011 11:32 am by Jason Byrnes | 678 views | 3 replies |

2 or 3 sub-categories levels deep

Is it possible to add more than one level of sub-categories?

For example:

Main Category:
>Sub Category1
>Sub Category 1a
>Sub Category 1b
>Sub Category 1c
>Sub Category2
>Sub Category 2a
>Sub Category 2b
>Sub Category 2c

Is this possible in PowerStore?

Yes, in the power store admin main menu, go to Products -> Categories. This page allows you to define The Top level categories.

next to each category, will be a link to create Sub-categories.

Next to each sub-category that is created will be another link to create a new sub-category layer, and so on and so forth.

Sub-sub-categories ~ supported by which level of PowerStore?

Do I need to open a separate Q to ask this question?

I saw this Q&A, and it might help me with one of my customers.

The customer is currently on PS3. Will it work on that version? And do the sub-cat levels have a limit?

Many thanks, Nick

Yes, it works the same way in Power Store 3.

No, there no limits to the number of subcategories.
